Steven Overman
Founder and Chief Brandist
Steven has led innovative strategy and branding
projects in a range of industries, from high tech financial services
to Hollywood filmmaking. A founding partner of The Idea Factory,
Steven co-created and facilitated strategic workshops with executives
and leaders at Fortune 500 companies including FedEx, PriceWaterhouseCoopers,
Nissan, and Royal Dutch Shell. He was an early member of Wired Magazine's
team, where he developed and produced cable television specials
on Encryption, the Future of War, Privatizing Social Security, and
the Future of Education. He collaborated with teams at Microsoft
and RealNetworks on Wired News, one of the earliest video-streaming
daily news programs. Other collaborative media projects include
the groundbreaking AIDS drama Philadelphia, Sundance-lauded fashion
documentary Unzipped, and Outcome, a customer-focused financial
services prototype. Steven's original video and conceptual art have
been exhibited in galleries in New York, Barcelona, and Antwerp.
A business and design commentator, he has been quoted in Limn, New
York Magazine, The Industry Standard, Wired, and Business 2.0.
